This combination of sizes is much closer to the traditional and classic-sized tool set for relief carving. These gouges have octagonal handles, which helps to carve easily.
The tools are perfect for carving different complexity relief and chip carving, making volume pictures, wall panels, decorating parts of furniture, detailing large wooden sculptures, and cleanups after CNC-machine carving.
The combination of tools allows for the ceation of smooth transitions between lines and shapes, particularly useful in crafting geometric ornaments with intricate contours. With regular stropping on a leather block with polishing paste, you won't need to re-sharpen for a long time. Only use sharpening stones if the edge becomes chipped or significantly dull.

We have specialized sets for young carvers (ages 8+ recommended) that are used in carving schools. However, we always recommend adult supervision.
