Every blank is cut from selected European linden (basswood), kiln-dried to 8–10% moisture content, and pre-sawn to its foundational profile. Basswood’s uniform, closed-pore fiber offers minimal cutting resistance, letting your blades slice effortlessly without tear-out, blade chatter, or premature dulling. It is the premier timber for mastering deep hollows, crisp geometric bevels, and fluid handle curves.
