2. Large Bent Gouge for Deep Hollowing — 1.2 in (30mm) (art.110510) The powerhouse of the set. This large bent gouge (Profile 5) is designed for excavating deep recesses in kuksas and bowls. Its curved geometry allows you to reach the bottom of deep hollows without your hand interfering with the workpiece, making it essential for large-scale vessel carving.
3. Classic Hook Knife / Spoon Knife — 1.2 in (30mm) (art.150030) The finishing tool for concave surfaces. This 1.2 in(30mm) diameter hook knife is perfect for refining the interior of your spoon bowl. Its single-bevel design slices cleanly through wood fibers, leaving a smooth surface that requires minimal sanding.
