Carve Deep Hollows Without the Handle Getting in Your Way
Every relief carver hits the same wall. The deeper the form, the more your handle and knuckles bump the rim of the workpiece, and a straight gouge can no longer reach the bottom at the right angle. The STRYI Maestro Semi-Bent Set is made for that moment. The gentle curve of the shank keeps the handle clear, so the edge meets the wood at the correct angle even in tight recesses and deep concave forms, and the surface stays tool-smooth at any depth.
One Curve, Five Widths
All five gouges share the same deep #9 sweep, from 10 mm to 30 mm. You get the same curve in every cut and only change how much wood you remove. Use the narrow gouges for fine detail, the wide ones for heavy excavation, and move between stages without changing your technique. With the semi-bent shape you can dive into transitions and clear backgrounds without bruising the edge of the piece.
