In a real workshop workflow, you begin with the Whittling Knife to establish the primary silhouette and handle architecture. The Bent Gouge is then utilized to create a "starting pocket" and manage the transitions between the rim and the floor of the vessel, where straight tools would lose leverage. Finally, the Hook Knife executes the circular slicing cuts required to hollow out the bowl, leaving a burnished, tool-finished surface that requires minimal sanding.
