This set is curated as a "First Project" engine. In a real workshop workflow, the 58mm whittling knife acts as the primary tool for both heavy stock removal and delicate stop-cuts. The blade geometry is optimized for the "sloyd" style of carving, where the length of the blade allows for powerful sweeping cuts on the exterior of a figure, while the fine tip handles the anatomical details.
