Whether you are introducing a child to their first creative hobby or you are a seasoned professional carving a masterpiece, STRYI tools provide the perfect balance of safety and precision.
Leather mallet STRYI for woodworking, stone processing, for sculpting is used by carvers on hardwood or stone to strike the handle of the cutter.
The mallet transfers the blow to the cutter well but does not break its wooden handle, since the working surface of its striker is plastic, and not hard, like the striker of a metal hammer. They are suitable for large and small wood, stone, and ice sculpture work. It is used for rough power work, to give a draft shape to a sculpture with the application of greater force.
The mallet is covered with a genuine leather piece and it will serve you for ages.

An ideal, durable mallet that does not bounce when hitting!
And most importantly, it will never leave a dent in your item when you hit the chisel with a misfire!
The shock part consists of round leather segments of the same diameter.
The comfortable handle is made of oak.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Are STRYI tools ready to use out of the box?
Yes, absolutely. Every STRYI tool is professionally hand-sharpened and honed on a leather wheel before shipping. You can start carving the moment you receive your package.
What kind of steel are the tools made of?
We use high-quality high-carbon steel (W1-7), which is specifically chosen for its ability to hold a razor-sharp edge. The steel is heat-treated to a hardness of 60-62 HRC.
Can I use these tools for hardwoods like Oak or Walnut?
Yes. STRYI tools are designed to work effectively on both softwoods (like Basswood or Linden) and hardwoods (like Oak, Walnut, or Cherry)
How long does shipping take to the United States?
We ship directly from our workshop in Ukraine. Standard international shipping typically takes 10-14 business days. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order is dispatched.
Will I have to pay customs duties or import taxes for orders to the USA?
No, you don’t need to worry about any extra costs. Our company covers all customs duties and import taxes for orders shipped to the United States. The price you see at checkout is the final price you pay—no hidden fees or surprise charges upon delivery.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, we ship to most countries globally. Shipping costs and delivery times will be calculated at checkout based on your location.
How often do I need to re-sharpen the tools?
With regular stropping on a leather block with polishing paste, you won't need to re-sharpen for a long time. Only use sharpening stones if the edge becomes chipped or significantly dull.
Do you offer tools for children?
We have specialized sets for young carvers (ages 8+ recommended) that are used in carving schools. However, we always recommend adult supervision.
