Carnauba oil wax STRYI is available in four distinct colors, designed to complement various wood tones and finishes. Each color enhances the natural beauty of the wood, while offering the same durable protection. For those who prefer a clear, glossy finish, pure carnauba wax is also available.
Choose from four rich colors of carnauba oil wax to match your wood projects, whether light, medium, or dark tones. Each variant combines superior protection with a vibrant finish. For a neutral sheen, the fifth option is our original carnauba wax.
Using:
Surface preparation:
The treated surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned of dirt, wax and grease. Harder woods containing resins and natural oils should be cleaned with a cloth soaked in an organic solvent.
Application:
The product is ready to use. Stir before use and during operation. Apply in a continuous layer in the direction of the wood fibers. Treat the surface to saturation with a brush 1-2 times. Excess oil not absorbed into the wood should be removed with a rag no later than 1 hour after application. At least 2 coats are recommended, can be re-applied after 12 hours. For planed as well as very dense wood due to lower absorption capacity, it is recommended to apply the 3rd layer if necessary.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Are STRYI tools ready to use out of the box?
Yes, absolutely. Every STRYI tool is professionally hand-sharpened and honed on a leather wheel before shipping. You can start carving the moment you receive your package.
What kind of steel are the tools made of?
We use high-quality high-carbon steel (W1-7), which is specifically chosen for its ability to hold a razor-sharp edge. The steel is heat-treated to a hardness of 60-62 HRC.
Can I use these tools for hardwoods like Oak or Walnut?
Yes. STRYI tools are designed to work effectively on both softwoods (like Basswood or Linden) and hardwoods (like Oak, Walnut, or Cherry)
How long does shipping take to the United States?
We ship directly from our workshop in Ukraine. Standard international shipping typically takes 10-14 business days. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order is dispatched.
Will I have to pay customs duties or import taxes for orders to the USA?
No, you don’t need to worry about any extra costs. Our company covers all customs duties and import taxes for orders shipped to the United States. The price you see at checkout is the final price you pay—no hidden fees or surprise charges upon delivery.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, we ship to most countries globally. Shipping costs and delivery times will be calculated at checkout based on your location.
How often do I need to re-sharpen the tools?
With regular stropping on a leather block with polishing paste, you won't need to re-sharpen for a long time. Only use sharpening stones if the edge becomes chipped or significantly dull.
Do you offer tools for children?
We have specialized sets for young carvers (ages 8+ recommended) that are used in carving schools. However, we always recommend adult supervision.
